What time is breakfast served in the cafeteria?

Breakfast is served from 9:00 to 9:15 AM in the cafeteria.

My child has a food allergy. Who should I talk to about this?

If your son/daughter has a food allergy, you should alert the school nurse as well as the child's teacher as soon as possible. The school nurse will advise you as to further steps you need to take. We will inform your child's classroom that there is a student with a food allergy, so as to not send any food to school which contains that substance.

My child is not taking the bus. How early may I drop them off at school?

Staff members will be available to assist your child at the drop-off line at 9:00 AM. You may drop your off your child at school from 9:00 AM until 9:10 AM at the student drop-off location on the west end of the school by the modular classrooms. Do not drop children off in the bus lanes or have them cross bus and car lanes from the visitor parking spaces to enter the school. This puts the safety of all children, staff members and parents at risk. Children coming to school after 9:10 are considered late. In these cases, please accompany your child to the office to sign your child into school.

Who do I call if I have a problem with the bus?

If you have questions or concerns regarding bus schedules, you may call the North Penn School District Transportation Office at 215-853-1139 between the hours of 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM on weekdays only or you may email them at [email protected]. Questions and requests will be processed according to "priority" - with concerns regarding student safety receiving immediate attention. What if I have to take my child out of school to attend a doctor's appointment?

If you are going to pick your child up during the school day, please send a note with your child in the morning. You may also call the office before 12 noon. Please do not email these requests to the teacher as they may be busy teaching students and would not be able to address your request. Students will not be released from class until a parent or guardian arrives at the office to pick up the student. A call will be made to the classroom. This is done to optimize your child's instructional time. The office can better meet your needs if they have enough time to relay that information to the proper staff members, so please plan accordingly.

What if my child is being bullied at school?

General Nash works to educate and empower it's students to help foster a safe, healthy and bully-free environment through weekly meetings, on-the-spot interventions, and other school-wide events. Children are encouraged to tell a grown up at school or at home if they are being bullied. If your child comes to you and says they are being bullied, please contact your child's teacher, guidance counselor, or principal as soon as possible.
