Home & School Minutes

March 14, 2013

Meeting was opened at 7:05 pm.

February minutes were approved.

Upcoming Dates were reviewed.

Principal's Report -

  1. Playground - donations of benches, picnic tables should be installed this spring.
  2. Playground Equipment - Dr. Henson (playground doctor)- Equipment has not been

purchased yet, but we are following up with this now. Looking into painting stencils

on the playground (games/map).

  1. Piano - Piano was donated by DiStefano's to Nash as a gift. Suggestion for Student

Council to make some thank you notes for them.

  1. Family Survey - Adding a safety question into the survey to make sure we have

feedback on security procedures. Should we go digital with the survey? We will

probably do a digital survey, followed by e-communication and have paper copies in

the office for those who need that.

  1. E-Communications - anything that needs a reply, money, or volunteers will be sent

home in paper. Anything else is in e-communication. We need to find a balance.

Planning on going to envelopes at least one time a month next year. There is a

concern that we are getting information from multiple sources. Thought about how

people may not answer surveys according to their behavior. Also investigating a

Nash App for smart phones, i-pads, etc.
