  6. Thanks to Home & School for the teacher appreciation breakfast!

Treasurer's Report - Tiffanie Stanton - We are still in good shape. Money Market went down because we moved some money to pay for the Nash scholarship fund which we will backfill if we do not raise enough money during the year. We took all of our book fair money in books instead of cash, so it may look odd on the budget. We are still getting matching funds from the walk-a-thon. We have made over $10,000 so far.

New Business

  1. Aluminum Tab Collections - Jen Jezyck, Tanya MacGregor, Lise Gawinski will run this new program. Tabs will be donated to Ronald McDonald House and Shriner's who recycle the tabs for a fundraiser. We are going to try to collect 1,000,000 tabs as a learning activity. Still working out details, but we wanted to make sure everyone was aware of it to start collecting over the summer. Suggestion to use a fish tank to collect them.
  2. Open Coordinator positions:
  3. Envelope coordinator - will be done once a month.
  4. Family Picnic - One time event. We will also have an activity night the same night as family picnic. Laura Boquist will coordinate the activity night. Good place to have families find information on various programs. This takes place on October 4th.
  5. Literacy night - Need a few more volunteers. There will be different stations for the kids to go through; storyteller will be here for the second hour. There is a sign up genius link in Constant Contact and on the FB page.
  6. Activity Coordinator Reports -Read for the World Record from Scholastic. Every child can log in and log their minutes now through September. Anli Wu went to theParent Camp at Knapp. Said it was very interesting. She went to three different sessions; said it was very informative. (She went to financial planning, Edmoto, and strengthening communications with children.) They will do it again. Publicity committee - haven't been able to get in contact with anybody about getting approved pictures on the website. Also, June 8th is the triathlon. Finish line is the track at the High School. Market Day - bringing in during the summer for a truck drop off (not in the school), more info forthcoming. Xtramath.org is a great website for strengthening basic math drills. Boxtops and Campbell's labels are due May 23rd.
