Principal's Report - Mr. Martiello
State Performance Profile
Pennsylvania has received federal approved to use state performance profile (SPP), the SPP will replace Adequate yearly progress (AYP) as indicator of school progress. SPP measures include scores on standardized testing in meth, reading, science and writing. In addition SPP also accounts for growth of individual students as well as attendance. Nash had received a score of 96.7 out of possible 100. The following percentages represent number of students who scored proficient in subject areas, 76.2% in math, 56.7 in reading, 61% in science and 12% in writing. Mr. Martiello reported there are areas of strength and weakness. Additional details are available on the North Penn website.

Conference
Mr. Martiello requested parent feedback. Concerns regarding 6th grade conferences and parents' difficulty seeing only one teacher. It was suggested that other teachers could submit their information to the homeroom teacher to be related to the parents.

Upcoming Halloween Parade
Great care has been taken to organize the event in order to provide a fun opportunity for the students. There will be a registration table to provide security and allows for the school to match their attendance with the attendance of the parade. Parents reported desire for police presence for walkers during transition. This also lead to parent concerns about when the Bustard Road bridge is closed.
